Last June 16, my husband and I have celebrated our 8th year wedding anniversary over a simple dinner at Mr. Choi Kitchen in Robinson’s Forum in Mandaluyong City. There were no flowers and chocolates for me this time probably because our marriage had already transcended more into the practicality side. What’s most important is we both allotted time to celebrate our anniversary and spend time together despite our busy work schedules. On the contrary as a woman, I still would want to receive flowers and chocolates though :)
We ordered rice toppings – Asado Rice Toppings for me while it’s Spare Ribs with Chicken Feet Tausi Sauce Rice Toppings for my husband. The Asado Rice Toppings has very sweet taste, which I really don’t find satisfying. The sweet taste on the meet did not placate my taste bud that night. Nevertheless, I was able to finish the food. The one that my husband ate was a bit dry. It does not look appetizing at all. Overall, the food was good. I will still come back to the place and try their other dishes on the menu :)
Since I really feel cold that evening, I also ordered for Hot & Sour Soup to ease my chilling. The soup was really good and I love the combined taste of the hot and the sour. I love the feeling of soothe in my mouth as I eat a spoonful of the soup. I will definitely order this again on my next visit :)
For drinks, I had Carrot Shake and my husband got Green Mango Shake.
Mr. Choi Kitchen is a good restaurant for Chinese food lovers. They have wide variety of Chinese foods that every taste bud could crave for. I'll surely come back to the place over and over again.
